He was born in Edremit (Balıkesir) in 1964. After graduating from I.U. Engineering Faculty Geological Engineering Department in 1987, he worked in various fields in the private sector for 5 years and then completed his M.Sc. and Ph.D. studies in the Department of Ore Deposits - Geochemistry while working as a Research Assistant at the same Faculty. Later, after working as a Faculty Member at Yüzüncü Yıl University for 5 years, he transferred to General Directorate of Mineral Research and Exploration (MTA), in Ankara at 2006 and worked in the Geophysical Studies Department and Mineral Research and Exploration Department for 11 years before retiring in 2017. The researcher has numerous scientific studies and these studies can be accessed from the Research Gate portal. The researcher has been focussed and conducting studies on Geological Heritage and Geotourism in the last 5 years.
